VICTORIOUS LIFE LUTHERAN CHURCH DONATES TO
ASHE COUNTY PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN Jefferson, NC
Victorious Life Lutheran Church donated $1,000 to Ashe County Partnership for Children on August 17, 2009. The church held a yard sale on July 18 in the parking lot of their new location at 217 Beaver Creek School Road in West Jefferson and targeted the proceeds to go to the Partnership for health care services. The proceeds amounted to $500, and the church matched the funds to make the total donation $1,000.
Roger Higbea is the Chairman/Lay Leader of Victorious Life Lutheran Church, “the little church with the big heart”. Victorious Life is a newly formed mission for Ashe County that focuses on outreach programs needed in the area. Sunday church services are held at 10:30 a.m. and mission meetings are held every other Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Please call for details.
Ashe County Partnership for Children is a non-profit organization that provides programs and services for families and children in Ashe County. They fund or directly run various programs such as: Smart Start programs to benefit children ages birth through five and their families; Domestic Violence prevention and awareness services, including shelter services; a Family Literacy program with transportation, child care and family support; and Family Support Services offering playgroups, parenting support and education.

Constitution Meeting
Wednesday Nov 19th 6:00pm, we had an important meeting for finalizing our ‘Constitution’ among other items. Rev. Dr. William D. Seaman was here to lend us support.

September 1st 2008- Labor Day at Pastor Gabbert and Carole's house. Cookout / potluck. What a great time we all had. The food was great and the games were fun.
